Frequently Asked Questions

The length of therapy varies greatly depending on your individual goals, the complexity of issues you're addressing, and your personal preferences.
Some clients find significant benefit in 8-12 sessions for specific concerns, while others prefer longer-term therapy for deeper personal growth. We'll regularly check in about your progress and adjust our approach as needed. You're always in control of the pace and duration of your therapy journey.

My approach combines evidence-based therapeutic techniques with a warm, collaborative relationship style.
I believe healing happens within a therapeutic relationship, so I focus on creating a safe space where you feel truly heard and understood. I integrate multiple therapeutic modalities—including EMDR, CBT, and mindfulness—to create a personalized treatment plan that fits your unique needs and learning style. My goal is to help you develop lasting tools for growth while honoring your individual journey.

Confidentiality is fundamental to effective therapy. Everything you share in our sessions is protected by HIPAA privacy laws and professional ethical guidelines.
I use secure, encrypted systems for all communications and record-keeping. The only exceptions to confidentiality are situations involving imminent danger to yourself or others, suspected child or elder abuse, or court-ordered disclosures. I'll always discuss these limits clearly and answer any questions you have about privacy protection.

Yes, I offer secure telehealth sessions for my clients.
Many clients find online therapy convenient and just as effective as in-person sessions. I use a HIPAA-compliant platform that ensures your privacy and provides high-quality video and audio. Some specialized treatments like EMDR can be adapted for telehealth, though I may recommend in-person sessions for certain techniques. We can discuss which format works best for your specific needs and preferences.

It's completely normal to feel uncertain about starting therapy. That's exactly why I offer a free 15-minute consultation call.
This gives us both a chance to see if we're a good fit and for you to ask any questions about the process. There's no pressure or commitment—just an opportunity to explore whether therapy might be helpful for you right now. Many clients find that even this initial conversation provides clarity and reduces anxiety about taking the next step.

As part of our agreement, I set aside a weekly appointment slot just for you. If you miss a session or cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, you will be charged at my cancellation rate.

Currently, I do not accept any types of insurance but do offer a superbill that you can give to tour insurance for session reimbursement.
Individual Therapy sessions typically cost $110. A sliding scale payment can be applied upon reasonable request. Group Therapy and Guided Support sessions' cost will be determined based on the number of participants in each group and will be disclosed prior to the first session.
