These Terms of Use govern your use of the Cypress Counseling, LLC website at cypresscounselingsc.com and related website content and features. By accessing or using the website, you agree to use it lawfully and in a manner consistent with these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the website.
2. Educational Information- Not Individualized Treatment
The information on this website, including blog articles, resources, worksheets, educational materials, and general descriptions of therapy approaches, is provided for general educational and informational purposes.
Website content is not individualized mental-health treatment, medical advice, diagnosis, or a substitute for professional evaluation or care. Information on the website should not be relied upon as a replacement for individualized professional care.
Reading website content, submitting a general inquiry, downloading a resource, or communicating through a general website form does not by itself establish a therapist-client relationship.
3. Website Forms and Communications
Website forms are intended primarily for general inquiries, scheduling, and related administrative communication. Please do not include sensitive health or mental-health information, detailed clinical history, diagnoses, trauma history, or other highly sensitive information in a general website form unless Cypress Counseling specifically instructs you to do so.
Cypress Counseling generally monitors website and email communications Monday through Thursday, 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and aims to respond to website inquiries within approximately 24–48 hours. Communications are not continuously monitored.
Clients may use direct text messaging with Cypress Counseling/Amy for brief logistical matters or to notify the Practice of an urgent concern. Direct text messaging is separate from website communications, is not a secure messaging platform, and is not continuously monitored. Clients should avoid sending sensitive or detailed health or mental-health information by direct text.
For non-urgent sensitive or detailed clinical communication, clients may use SimplePractice Secure Messaging through the Client Portal or mobile app when available.
SimplePractice may also send automated SMS notifications for appointments, telehealth reminders, document reminders, and cancellation notifications. Automated messages are not continuously monitored and should not be treated as an emergency communication method.
4. No Emergency Services
The website, website forms, email, direct text, SimplePractice Secure Messaging, and automated SMS are not emergency services and are not continuously monitored.
If you are experiencing an emergency or believe you may be in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. You may also call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Do not wait for a response from Cypress Counseling when immediate assistance is needed.
5. Services and Eligibility
Cypress Counseling provides psychotherapy services to adults age 18 and older, including individual and couples therapy.
Clients receiving telehealth services must be physically located in South Carolina at the time of the telehealth session, consistent with applicable law and practice requirements.
Website content describing services is general information. Actual clinical services, treatment arrangements, session frequency, confidentiality practices, fees, cancellation policies, and other clinical policies are governed by the applicable client agreements and practice policies.
6. Fees
Please contact the Practice directly for current standard rates and fees. An initial intake session is generally billed at the applicable individual or couples session rate. Fees, session lengths, cancellation/no-show policies, payment requirements, and other practice policies are governed by the applicable client agreements and practice policies and may differ for specialized, extended, or otherwise separately disclosed services.
Website information about fees does not create a guarantee that a particular service will be available or that a particular fee will apply to a service not described on the website.
7. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, Cypress Counseling owns or has permission to use the website’s text, blog articles, worksheets, downloadable resources, original graphics, logo, branding, and other website content.
You may view and use website content for your personal, noncommercial educational use. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, modify, sell, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit website content without prior written permission, except as permitted by law.
Downloading a worksheet or other resource for personal use does not transfer ownership of the underlying content or intellectual-property rights.
8. Images
Website images may include properly licensed stock photography, original imagery, or images created or modified using artificial intelligence tools. Images may not be copied, redistributed, commercially reused, or otherwise used in a manner that violates applicable copyright, license, publicity, or other rights.

The website may contain links to third-party websites, including Amazon and other external resources. These links are provided for convenience and educational or informational purposes. Cypress Counseling does not control third-party websites and does not guarantee or assume responsibility for their content, products, services, privacy practices, security, availability, or terms.
Cypress Counseling does not currently operate an Amazon business or affiliate program and does not currently receive commission or other affiliate compensation from Amazon links on the website. If this changes, applicable disclosures will be updated.
When you leave the Cypress Counseling website and interact with a third-party website, your use of that website and any purchase or information you provide are governed by the third party’s policies and transaction terms.

Cypress Counseling attempts to provide accurate, useful, and current website information, but does not guarantee that every website statement will always be complete, current, error-free, or applicable to every individual situation.
Website content, services described on the website, links, features, and availability may change without notice. Cypress Counseling may correct, update, remove, or discontinue website content or features at any time.

The HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices separately addresses protected health information (PHI) where HIPAA applies. These documents serve different purposes: the Website Privacy Policy addresses website and online activity, while the HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices addresses PHI and applicable HIPAA privacy rights and practices.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to reduce or eliminate privacy protections that apply under applicable law.

Information about therapy approaches or services on the website is not a promise or guarantee of a particular therapeutic outcome. Therapy is individualized, and results vary based on the circumstances, goals, participation, and other factors relevant to each person.

You agree not to use the website in a manner that is unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, harmful, or intended to interfere with the website’s operation or security. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to website systems, introduce malicious code, interfere with website availability, or use website forms or other features to submit unlawful or abusive content.
